Green Door Gourmet welcomes adventurous, budding chefs to spend their days on our organic farm!

Culinary Day Camp ( 9th-12th graders) $350

July 15th - 19th

Day session: 8:30am - 12:30pm

Culinary Day Camp (rising 6th - 9th graders) $350 **a separate ticket**

Culinary Camp

Let farm to table cooking come to life at Green Door Gourmet! Youth Culinarians will spend the week learning to create delicious, primarily plant-based meals with in-season produce straight from our fields and other featured local artisan ingredients. Campers will become versed in basic culinary techniques such as food and knife safety skills. Inspired young chefs will receive recipes to continue creating healthy meals in their own home kitchen.  Campers will receive an exclusive farm apron and a unique opportunity to venture into our organic farm fields to observe and learn about where their food come from as they source and gather farm fresh ingredients! Each morning, campers will start their day off gathering ingredients such as greens, herbs, or EGGS! 

This year’s culinary camp will end their week with a unique opportunity to prepare a dish/course for the “Farmily Lunch” where they will get to invite a guest for a showcase lunch. You will also have the option (later when we send a link to you!) to add 1-2 guests for this lunch, up to two buddies for an additional cost.

General Camp Info - PLEASE READ

Registration will begin on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024.

Fill out the sign up form to reserve a spot, and it will be first come first served.

When you are signing up, there will be a few policies to read upon registration. These are so that you are aware of health/liability forms that MUST be filled out prior to the start of camp.

You will electronically receive (1) health & consent form and (1) liability waiver to complete. We will send more communication closer to the start of camp! If you have any questions about age, participation, needs, etc., please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 615-942-7169 or email events@greendoorgourmet.com

You must be able to pick up your child at 12:30pm. Those with a repeat tardiness may be subject to explusion from camp participation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if my child has food/other allergies?

  • Green Door Gourmet is unable to provide an allergen-free environment. Our kitchen is used to process wheat, dairy, nuts, and other common allergens.  Please make us aware of any allergies your child may have. We are in a small, hands-on kitchen that cannot accommodate special dietary restrictions or allergies.

Are you able to accommodate campers with special needs?

  • Green Door Gourmet welcomes families and friends with special needs to the farm. However, we are not a special needs camp and cannot accept campers who have needs greater than our capacity and training. If you would like to see if camp is viable, please contact our camp manager to discuss options!

Do you offer before or after camp care?

  • We are not able to offer extended care for campers.

What level of activity will my child be participating in?

  • Culinary campers will spend most of their time inside cooking, venturing outside 1-2 times a day to explore the fields and learn where their ingredients come from.

Should I send anything with my child to camp?

  • As they will be outside, it’s great to think about sending them with some extra sunscreen, bugspray, extra socks and/or a hat. We will have some on hand just in case. You must send your child in comfy, closed-toe shoes as they will be on uneven farm ground.

Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel before June 24th, you will receive 50% of your payment back. You must reach out to us directly at 615-942-7169 or at events@greendoorgourmet.com. If you cancel on or after the 25th of June, you forfeit your payment.
