Join us for a new farm experience as we go on a literary journey with a glass of wine in hand! We'll have the accomplished and notable author, Bill Ward, setting the tone for the evening. He has contributed to countless wine journals and articles spanning years of expertise and backed with a former role at the Minnenapolis Tribune. As tastings of appropriately paired wines are poured, we will talk in depth about the book and all that it entails. You'll receive a pairing with each of the four wine offerings that are curated specially for this evening and hand-selected by wine enthusiast, Sylvia Ganier.

February's Wine & Book Club Feature: "Wine and War: The French, the Nazis, and the Battle for France's Greatest Treasure

You'll receive a copy of "Wine and War" that you can pick up at our farm market on the following dates:

Saturday, January 13th

Sunday, January 14th

Saturday,  January 20th

Sunday, January 21st

If you are unable to pick up on these dates, we can arrange shipping it directly to you.

This will allow you time to read through this story that transports you back to 1940 with the fall of France to the Nazis and how extraordinary their efforts were to preserve and save the cream of their country's crop...wine.

If you like books, wine and hanging out with great people as you taste through delightful pairings, this is the evening for you. Perfectly in time for Valetine's Day, whether it's for yourself, a friend or a partner!

From Bill Ward about the book: "Wine Enthusiasts, who are also inclined to love history, get a compelling dose of both in Don and Pete Kladstrup's "Wine and War: The French, the Nazis and the Battle for France's Greatest Treasure." Thoroughly researched and deftly written, this page-turned is packed with wonderful adecdotes and no small amount of tension. The relationships between vinters and their regional overlords were a combination of showdowns, tap dances and tighrope walks."

A James Beard Award winner for a series on Italian regional cuisine, he makes wine accessible and not daunting, helping people become comfortable in talking about and buying fermented grape juice.
