Calendula officinalis The best calendula for making tinctures and oils and the one Deb Soule grows at Avena Botanicals. Its medium-sized single blooms with small eyes are extremely resinous, coating your fingers or clippers while you harvest flowers. The medicinal sticky resins impart a pleasant odor. Blossoms are primarily bright yellow with yellow centers. A few will be orange with light orange centers. Cheery flowers, good medicine. Annual. Especially attractive to pollinators.
